Various statuses of a transactiongo to Help:Contents
A transaction between 2 trading partners on KidMax can be in various statuses. These are described as follows:
Pending: This transaction status applies to an exchange offer (see Types of Exchange Offers). It means that an interested buyer has made an offer to the seller of a listing. However, a decision has not been made on the offer. Seller and interested buyers can then communicate with each other and negotiate a fair deal to complete / accept the offer. Seller can reject a pending offer anytime. Buyers can also cancel / withdraw their pending offer anytime. If no decision is reached on the offer, it will expire and no further action can be taken by the seller or the buyer. A pending cash offer expires when the listing for which it was made expires. A pending 'Exchange Offer with an Item' expires when the listing for which it was made expires. A pending 'Exchange Offer with a Listing' expires either when the listing for which it was made expires or when the listing with which it was made expires, whichever comes first. Also, If at the time of accepting an offer, the available quantity can not be reconciled with the quantity specified in the offer, the offer becomes invalid and no further action can be taken by the seller or the buyer.
Highest bidder / Winning all units / Winning partial / Overbid: If you place at least one bid in an auction, you will see the status of your bid under 'my Dashboard (Buyer Area) > Items Bidding On' as long as the auction is active. If you are the highest bidder on a single unit auction, your bid status will be 'Highest bidder'. In a multiple unit auction, if you bid for more than one unit, your bid might result in winning partial number of units. Your bid status will be 'Winning Partial'. Partial winners have the right to reject the transaction and they are not obligated to complete it. To win all the units you bid on, you need to increase your maximum bid per unit. If, however, you are winning the number of units you bid on, your bid status will be 'Winning all units'. In an auction, if your bid has been overbid by one or more bidders, your bid status will show as 'Overbid'. You must increase your bid in order to win.
Complete / Accepted: This status applies to transactions of all kinds. For an auction (see How to buy & sell in an Auction?), it means that one or more buyers have won partial number of or all the unit(s) they had bid on. In a Multiple Unit Auction, if a buyer bids for more than one unit, his/her bid might result in winning partial number of units. Partial winners have the right to reject the transaction and they are not obligated to complete it. For a fixed price sale, this status means that a buyer has purchased one or more units. For an exchange offer, this status means that seller/buyer has accepted the offer/counter-offer and a positive decision has been reached.
Note: A complete / accepted transaction does NOT imply that payment has been sent or product/service has been delivered. Both parties are obligated to do their parts and follow through for a complete / accepted transaction. Please do leave a feedback for your trading partner after the transaction.
Invoice Sent by Seller: After a transaction becomes complete / accepted, the seller must send an invoice to the buyer to let him/her know the total payment due. After sending the invoice, the transaction shows in 'Invoice Sent by Seller' status.
A pending exchange offer or a bid in an auction that does not result in a successful transaction can be in one of the following statuses:
Cancelled / Withdrawn / Rejected: In a multiple unit auction, if a buyer bids for more than one unit, his/her bid might result in winning partial number of units. Partial winners have the right to reject the transaction and they are not obligated to complete it. An exchange offer that is pending can be cancelled / withdrawn by the interested buyer. A seller can also reject a pending offer anytime.
Invalid: Item not available in Qty.: If at the time of accepting an exchange offer, the item for which the offer is made is not available in the quantity specified in the offer, the offer becomes invalid and goes in 'Invalid: Item not available in Qty.' status. No further action can be taken by the seller or the buyer.
Invalid: Offered Item Not Available in Qty.: If at the time of accepting an exchange offer with a listing, the offered item (in listing with which offer is made) is not available in the quantity specified in the offer, the offer becomes invalid and goes in 'Invalid: Offered Item Not Available in Qty.' status. No further action can be taken by the seller or the buyer.
Expired: If no decision is reached on an exchange offer, it will expire and no further action can be taken by the seller or the buyer.
Overbid After an auction in which you had placed at least one bid ends, if your bid has been overbid by one or more bidders, you will see your transaction under 'my Dashboard (Buyer Area) > Items Didn't Win'. Your bid status will show as 'Overbid'.
