How to sell your item in an auction?
See How to Sell?. To sell product/item(s) in an auction, choose type of sale as 'Auction'. You will be required to enter a 'Starting price'. This is the price at which all bidding starts for your auction. Bids below this price will not be accepted.
You have the option of specifying a 'Reserve price' for your auction. Reserve price is the price below which seller will not sell the item. When you sell product/item(s) in an auction, buyers will bid starting with the starting price and will bid up the price. If the price becomes equal to or more than the reserve price, seller is obligated to sell the item and complete the transaction.
You also have the option of specifying a 'Buy price' for your auction. Buy price is the price at which a buyer can immediately buy the item without participating in auction. This will reduce the available quantity of the item in auction by the quantity bought by the buyer(s). If there are no more units available, the auction will end and all bids will become invalid.

How to bid in an auction?
Select and Review: Search and select the auction you want to bid on and review it's current bid/price. A new bid must be greater than the current bid/price. The additional amount/incremental bid you're required to bid depends on the current bid/price. This incremental bid in addition to the current bid determines the minimum bid price. See how incremental bids are calculated.
Bid and Confirm: After you have reviewed the auction, enter your maximum bid. This is the maximum amount of money you are willing to offer for the item in the auction. Registration is required to bid on an auction. You will be required to sign in, if you are not signed in already. On the next page, you will be able to review your bid and then confirm it. If you don't confirm your bid, it will become an invalid bid. You can also cancel your bid from this page.
Confirmation message: After you confirm your bid, you will get a message stating whether you are the winning bidder or not, i.e., if you have been outbid or have not met reserve price. If you have been outbid by another bidder, you will need to increase your maximum bid in order to win. If seller has set a reserve price on an auction, you must meet the reserve price in order to win the auction.
KidMax uses Automatic or Proxy Bidding System. This means that if another bidder has placed a higher maximum bid than your maximum bid, an automatic bid is placed on their behalf and you will be outbid. However, if your maximum bid is higher than the highest bidder's maximum bid, you will become the highest bidder and the new price will be such that it outbids the maximum bid of the previous highest bidder. Your maximum bid will not be visible to other members. If higger bid(s) are placed on the item by other bidders, bids will be automatically placed on your behalf up to your maximum bid. Learn more about Automatic or Proxy Bidding System.
If auction has a buy price, you can immediately buy the item without participating in auction. This implies that you must make sure that your maximum bid is lower than the buy price. If you are willing to bid equal to or more than the buy price, you can immediately buy the item without participating in the auction. This will reduce the available quantity of the item in auction by the quantity bought by all buyer(s), including you. If there are no more units available, the auction will end and all bids, including your bid if you have placed one, will become invalid.
If the auction is a multiple unit auction, and you bid for more than one unit, your bid might result in winning partial number of units. Partial winners have the right to reject the transaction and they are not obligated to complete it. To win all the units you bid on, you need to increase your maximum bid per unit. Learn more about Multiple Unit Auction.
It is recommended that you not bid on multiple active listings at the same time. Even if your bid is outbid, it can become the highest bid if one or more bids higher than your bid are retracted.
For a Multiple Unit Auction, even if your bid is outbid, it can become a winning or a partial winning bid if one or more bids higher than your bid are retracted AND / OR if higher bidder(s) change quantities (they bid on) in their subsequent bids.
