| KidMax users can search listings using either the simple search or advanced search. |
| Simple search: Enter words or phrases to find an item that you are looking for. To search an exact phrase or exact combination of words, enclose them in quotations, e.g., "exact item". The listings containing all of the specified words and exact combinations of words are matched. By default both the title and description of listings are searched to match the words or phrases your enter. If you want to search the title of listings only, select 'Search Listing Titles only'. |
Advanced search: Advanced search provides additional capabilities to search listings on KidMax. You can search listings that match one or more of the following parameters/conditions:
 containing all of the specified words
containing exact specified phrase
containing at least one of the specified words
not containing any of the specified words
Note: Please specify text value(s) for at least one of the first four fields. Rest of the search parameters are optional. |

Search Content: By default both the title and description of listings are searched to match the words or phrases your enter. If you want to search the title of listings only, select 'Search Listing Titles only'. |

Listing Type: By default both Product/Item and Service/Business listings are searched to match the words or phrases your enter. You can limit the type of listings to search. |
Advanced Search has following other options to search:
selected types of sales (ignored if only service/business listings are searched)
listings within a category and/or sub-category. You can search all listings within a category or further refine your search within a sub-category of the selected category.
Note:- You can also choose to search all listings under either product/item or service/business categories only. If you do so, the search results are what they would be if you specify only that listing type to search
- Category and/or sub-category selection overwrites the listing type selection. Search will be done only within category and/or sub-category you selected, irrespective of what listing type if you specify, if any
listings in specified price range (ignored if only service/business listings are searched)
listings with pictures only
listings with specified range of ages of kids. By default listings where ages of kids is not specified are also searched. If you want to exclude listings where ages of kids is not specified, select 'Don't search listings with no ages specified'
listings for specific gender or unisex/neutral items
listings by proximity for U.S. only. Note that this will limit your search to items for which ZIP or Postal Code has been specified. Examples of ZIP or Postal Code: 94401, 10021. Do not use this for ZIP or Postal Code outside of U.S.
listings only for which Pickup / Electronic Delivery / Shipping not required is specified as a mode of shipping/delivery (ignored if only service/business listings are searched). |
| Search results: search results are shown as lists on multiple pages with 50 listings per page. The list shows thumbnail image of the first picture of listing (if it has any), title, type of sale (product/item listings only), ages of kids for whom the item in listing is intended (if specified), price (product/item listings only; sale price for fixed price sales and fixed price sale / will consider offers, current bid price for auctions and estimated value for exchange offers), shipping & handling charges (product/item listings only; if specified) and listing end date & time (product/item listings only). To see details of a listing, click on it's title. |
